This month's showcase

Our top six gyms we want to showcase this month. Different city, unique style, but all epic in their own way and all part of the LiLo family.

CFHXMiami Beach

MBFIT Miami Beach

Miami

MBFIT Miami Beach

930 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA · crossfitmiamibeach.com

Walk in during a HYROX Training Club session and you'll get it immediately: open-sided, loud, humid Miami air mixing with chalk dust, this is what a CrossFit/HYROX box is supposed to feel like. MBFIT runs CrossFit, a dedicated HYROX Training Club, and MB HIIT out of the same Alton Road space, with six certified coaches from five countries covering everything from Olympic lifting to nutrition. Owner Jason Woolley has 18-plus years and 20,000-plus coaching hours behind him, and it shows in how the floor is run, busy without ever feeling chaotic.

It's earned a reputation as Miami Beach's go-to HYROX prep spot, but the coaching is what keeps people coming back. "It's got the perfect CrossFit/HYROX feel to it, open-sided, noisy, great equipment, and the coaching was second to none. The coaches were super welcoming," is how LiLo's own founder put it after dropping in. Landing in Miami Beach for a few days? This is the one to book.

CFFinancial District

CrossFit Wall Street

New York City

CrossFit Wall Street

60 New St, New York, NY 10004, USA · crossfitwallstreet.com

Tucked into the Financial District two minutes from the Stock Exchange and the Charging Bull, CrossFit Wall Street is proof you don't need a warehouse to run a serious program. Classes stay small on purpose, warm-up, strength or skill work, then conditioning, every time, so coaches actually know your name and your squat. Beyond standard CrossFit, they run a Hybrid Strength track (Olympic lifting plus bodybuilding) for anyone chasing size as much as engine, plus private and corporate sessions for the finance crowd that built the neighborhood.

New in town or just in for meetings? Three classes for $30 is a low-stakes way to test the water. Their own line sums up the vibe better than we could: "You don't have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great."

CFHXHermosa Beach

CrossFit South Bay

Los Angeles

CrossFit South Bay

725 5th St #1, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254, USA · crossfitsouthbay.com

CrossFit South Bay calls itself "your fitness family in the South Bay," and members back that up unprompted, one review flagged how the ramp-up program made a total beginner feel like they belonged on day one. That's the throughline here: functional, high-intensity CrossFit with a real on-ramp for anyone new to barbells, alongside the scaled and competitive tracks for everyone else. Coaches lean personal, and the gym runs enough socials and get-togethers that the friend group tends to outlast the fitness goal that brought people in.

A block from the beach in Hermosa, it's an easy add to any LA trip, and a free trial class means there's no reason not to.

CFHXSan Francisco

CrossFit 7x7

Bay Area

CrossFit 7x7

933 Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94129, USA · crossfit7x7.com

Set in the Presidio near Crissy Field, with the Golden Gate Bridge basically in view, CrossFit 7x7 is one of the rare boxes that treats CrossFit and HYROX as equally first-class programs rather than one bolted onto the other, alongside Olympic weightlifting, functional bodybuilding, women's strength classes, and in-house physical therapy and nutrition coaching. Outdoor training space and genuinely useful extras (private changing rooms, a members app, ample parking, rare currency in SF) make it easy to actually show up.

Free beginner CrossFit runs the first Saturday of every month, and there are discounts on the books for military, first responders, teachers, and students. If you're passing through the Bay and want a box that takes both disciplines seriously, this is it.

CFEast Austin

Kawi CrossFit

Austin

Kawi CrossFit

4812 E 7th St, Austin, TX 78702, USA · bekawi.com

KAWĪ (the site domain reads "bekawi") bills itself as East Austin's most intense workout, and the programming backs the claim: daily CrossFit built around barbells, gymnastics, and conditioning, plus a second track called Physique for anyone training more for aesthetics and pace than for competition. Class times run early, as early as 5am, through the evening on weekdays, with Saturday mornings covered too, so there's rarely a bad excuse to skip a session while traveling through.
